Saturday's cancellation, sold twice.
A dog drops out of your Saturday. Everybody waiting for that service, on that day, gets a text, and the hour goes to whoever answers first instead of sitting empty in the wash bay.

A Saturday in a two-groomer salon. The 10:30 was cancelled at 9:14 and taken at 9:18.
Three Saturdays you have already had.
One refilled groom pays for the month.
Not a projection. Two numbers you can check, one taken away from the other.
| One full groom — medium dog, at the price we set you up with | £45.00 |
|---|---|
| Diary Portal, one month | −£29.00 |
| Still yours, once the month is paid for | £16.00 |
Put your own price in the top line. Anything at or above £29.00 and one refilled cancellation has paid for the month. It does not matter whether you take twenty appointments a month or eighty, because how many you take is not in the sum.
You do not start from an empty diary.
This is the grooming price list already in there the first time you sign in. Change any of it, or none of it.
| Service | Minutes | Price | Deposit |
|---|---|---|---|

| Full groom — medium dog | 90 | £45.00 | — |

None of it takes a deposit until you set one. Set it per service once payments are connected, and it comes off the bill on the day.
Who gets the text.
Not the whole waitlist. The ones who wanted that service, on a day they said they could do.
- The same service, not merely the same salon.
- A cancelled full groom does not text somebody waiting for a nail clip. The hour that came free is 90 minutes long, and it goes to somebody who needs 90 minutes.
- On a day and at a time they can actually make.
- When somebody joins the waitlist they say which days suit and whether they want mornings or afternoons. A Tuesday morning slot does not text the client who can only do weekends.
- 5 at a time, for 30 minutes.
- Then the next 5, if the first round goes quiet. Texting one person and waiting is how a Saturday morning slot stays empty until Saturday.
the business's name: a slot is free. Claim: …/offer/9f2c
the business's name: that slot was taken. We will text if another opens.
Word for word what goes out, after your own business name. Nobody replies to a text: the link opens the slot, and the first person to take it has it. Everyone else gets the second message, which is the one most systems do not bother to send.
It knows the dog, not just the booking.
A grooming diary that records only a name and a time is a calendar with your logo on it.
Your booking page asks for the dog's details once and remembers them: breed, size, coat type and temperament / notes. Next time they book, none of it is asked again.
The temperament note is the one that earns its place. "Nervous with clippers" sits on the appointment, on the day, next to the time, so whoever is on the table at 10:30 knows before the dog is on it.
Same for the coat. A matted double coat is not the same job as a trim, and the note is on the booking rather than in somebody's head.
Questions from groomers.
The setup ones, mostly.
- What about the book I already have?
- We import names, dogs and the next fortnight from a spreadsheet before your booking page goes live. For the first ten salons we will come and do it with you.
- What if owners are not on their phones?
- They open a link. There is no account to make and no app to install. A text with a link is the whole interface, which is also why the waitlist works at all.
- Two of us work Saturdays. Does it handle that?
- Yes. Services are assigned to whoever can do them, and a freed hour is offered against the groomer whose hour it was. A cancellation in your column does not text people about a slot in somebody else's.
- Will asking for a deposit lose me clients?
- The ones who vanish on a Saturday might. The hold comes off the bill on the day, and the owners who want the 9am slot are not the ones who object to it.
- Do I have to take deposits on everything?
- No. Nothing takes a deposit until you set one, and it is set per service, so a full groom can ask for one while the nail clip does not.

Nothing here yet. When a real salon writes something we can print, it goes here with their name on it. Not before.
